Working with Ralph was my absolute favorite part of wedding planning!! I dreamed of having a custom arch made but didn't know if I could afford it with everything else that I needed. Ralph took my budget and Pinterest board and came up with a full florals plan including bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, aisle pieces, centerpieces, and a custom free-standing arch all within my budget!! I also loved the process of deciding which flowers would be used for each piece and the online portal he uses made it super easy to keep all the categories of florals clear and organized. He was extremely patient and kind with me going through all the edits.This was the one part of wedding planning I did by myself and felt like I got to do 100% for me (my husband is terribly colorblind) and the only part that was 100% stress-free with Ralph providing delivery and set-up of both the ceremony and reception. My biggest regret is that I never got the chance to meet Ralph in person on the day and thank him profusely for making my wedding even more beautiful than I dreamed. The aisle pieces especially were the main element to the decor of both our ceremony and reception and they still bring me such joy looking at them in photos. We were absolutely thrilled with our florals for our wedding at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore. I gave Ralph my color pallet, sent a few inspiration photos, and he took it from there! He truly made my vision into a reality and blew all my expectations out of the water. Ralph is talented, thoughtful, organized, and a great communicator. His arrangements were high quality, breathtaking, lasted for days, and BONUS… were affordable!!! We would 100% recommend Blue Lakes Floral Design to anyone!! You will not regret it.

My husband and I were married last weekend and Ralph absolutely knocked it out of the park for our floral arrangements. Once I have our pictures back I will update my review with some of his work to showcase to everyone. To start, the process couldn't be easier. All it took was sending Ralph pictures of my inspiration and left the rest to him. The flowers came out perfect, and honestly better than I had imagined. We went for a rustic Autumnal colour palette with lots of texture and a variety of stems, grasses, and flowers. From my bouquet to the groom's boutonnières, to the arch, to the aisle runners - everything was stunning. We received so many compliments from our guests on the flowers. They brought our venue to life and we are so happy with the outcome. The details and care Ralph puts in to his designs are exceptional and I highly recommend Blue Lakes Design to anyone getting married in the Rockies. We chose Blue Lakes Floral Design for our Canmore wedding in June 2022 and this was an absolutely incredible choice that we made! Ralph was very accommodating to my wishes, and was able to make changes to my order as needed throughout the planning process. Our ceremony took place outdoors and we had an arch that we wanted flowers for. Ralph did an excellent job setting this up perfectly and efficiently. Our bouquets arrived fresh and well- made, with no issue of flowers/stems/greenery coming loose and falling out throughout the day. The selection in florals was beautiful and the colors were true to my tastes and matched our color palette well. While wedding florals are expensive no matter where you go, I found Ralph's pricing to be quite fair and competitive in the market, particularly for a destination wedding.
If you are on the hunt for fresh florals at your wedding, I would highly recommend Blue Lakes Floral Design. They will create works of art for your wedding day that you can then keep forever in the form of dried flowers, pressed wall art, or resin artwork (my personal favorite) to commemorate your big day.

I don't have all our photos back to show the true magnificence of our florals but Ralph and Blue Lake Florals were a KEY vendor for our wedding. Ralph responded so quickly and went above and beyond to tailer our florals to my desires (which changed a few times - sorry Ralph!) but seriously, there was not a missed spot in our venue where we could have had florals that Ralph did not capitalize on, every detail had been thought of and the arrangements were absolutely stunning. I can not recommend them enough!

He is to communicate with, responsive, and accommodating. He was able to produce enchanting arrangements for our wedding at Chateau Lake Louise that I will never forget! He is a professional and at the best price for the Bow Valley.
Also the moms were thrilled Ralph was able to secure extra tall gladiolas and peonies in mid-July – as they would typically be out of season.

I cannot say enough good things about Blue Lakes Floral! It was like Ralph was able to climb inside my head and see the exact vision I had for my wedding bouquet, and that says a lot because I am a very, very picky person! Their service was amazing and they delivered the bouquets and boutonnieres directly to our hotel room the morning of our wedding, where we were getting ready. They also did up some greenery bunches for the arch we had at our outdoor ceremony and delivered them and set them up on the arch for us. We literally had to worry about nothing on the day of our wedding. Their service was amazing and they did the most beautiful job on the flowers! They were so wonderful to work with and great with communication! Highly recommend!

Ralph was easy to work with and delivered amazing flower arrangements for our wedding! He put together bouquets based on my vision and ideas and really captured the look I was going for, without me having to over-explain. He was also flexible with making some adjustments and when we had to postpone our wedding once due to the pandemic. Highly recommend!

I am so happy that I found Blue Lakes to do our bouquets for our wedding. We went with one bridal bouquet and three smaller bridesmaids and they were all lovely. Beautiful, fresh bouquets
I got a bridal bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, and 5 boutonnieres, and a cake topper and they were all gorgeous. The flowers were bright and very cohesive. The bouquets all lasted weeks after the wedding. All the bouquets got delivered in classic glass vases so they stayed fresh and I used them as centerpieces as we only had 3 tables (COVID wedding) so it was perfect!"
